Welcome

Hunter was diagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease (LCPD) in March of 2011. Since the day we learned about this we have been struggling with the stress and trying to find the knowledge to help us through these ongoing difficult times. With great support from our family and friends we have been blessed with the strength to make some very challenging decisions that, no matter what, will affect Hunter's life forever.

Hunter does know what is going on here. We do give him all of this information, as we can tell it touches his heart when we tell him someone commented on the guestbook or wants a t-shirt. He always gets a big smile from knowing he's got more than just mom and dad.

This site was started to keep our family and friends informed and up-to-date when time is available. Hopefully, other Perthes parents may find some of our experiences helpful as well.
