I am a dear friend of Janice. She has always spoke so heartfelt about you that I feel that I know you. To be her grandson, I know you must truly be an amazing person :) Please know that their are people out here praying for you and your family that you haven't even met. Your blessing will come in abundance in God's time...Be patient and know that I support you all in anyway I can.

Dear Hunter, I believe we have a lot in common. I too was diagnosed with Perthes in both hips! Believe me it tried to slow me down but have no fear you will bounce back from this. It may seem like forever but this too shall pass. I can remember those tough times like it was yesterday and I know it isn't easy. But you will be much stronger for going through this! I have been lucky enough to play football and I continue to play soccer today! If you ever need anything or just to talk let me know. I have pictures I could share as well. Doesn't look like much has changed in the course of treatment! I'll be thinking of you and wishing you all the best!

Hunter, my son was also diagnosed with Perthes Disease at age 7. Today he is 35 years old and regional director of 7 nursing homes.
He played football in high school and still plays soccer today. It is a long haul, but hang in there. We will be sending hugs and prayers your way.
